Hey to all just thought i'd post up my misfortune. I went to pick the Mrs up yesterday and came around the corner and heard a loud thump managed to get the car off the road barely and at first it appered i had burst an airbag. When we were pulling it onto the tilt tray the wheel was sitting on a 60 degree angle took 2 hours just to get it off the truck without ripping off my front bar or snapping the wheel completly off. Finally got it off and jacked it up and found it wasnt the airbag at all. The ball joint that goes into the wishbone arm had popped out and was pretty much shredded to bits. The next problem was getting it into my driveway. This is useful info if it ever happens to you. We tried pretty much every different way but it kept popping out. We ended up chaining it all together and it worked but it took 4 hours to finally get it onto the driveway which was only like 5 meteres from where the car sat. Now I gotta replace the arm and balljoint and i might replace them on all 4 wheels. Im very thankful that it didnt happen while i was doing high speed or my girlfriend my car and myself would be dead. Has anyone had similar happen ? How much will it cost to buy the new parts ?
