my diff went boom boom pow like the B.E.P, it all started when i was slowly pulling away from the petrol servo then my car makes a big thud sound from the rear, i thought one of the bushes let go, but then the car was fine after inspection and rolling it slowly but it was when i took a turn slowly, my car would go boom or thud!. took it home and had a closer look when the car was on jack stands but everything looked normal but when i span my wheels, both where locked and spinning at the same time so it appered that my diff has magicly locked itself. I undid the diff drain plug and nothing but metal chippings and very little oil came out. The problem was the old owner never checked it out, only about 250Ml of diff oil came out so now i need a replacement. moral to the story is to check your diff from time to time
