My new steering wheel arrived last week (car came with an aftermarket racing wheel)looks good, black one off a 1998 celsior, i'm still trying to find a horn pad to fit it. anyhoo, i plugged in the cruise control and the A/D main light flashes on the dash about 4 times and then it's gone. any ideas where to start on fixing this?

You will need to bridge the following two pins on the diagnostic plug to get the codes to flash while the ignition is on
Tc and E1 Read diagnostic code on main cruise indicator light.
list of codes is as follows.
11-motor circuit or magnet clutch is abnormal 12-safety magnetic circuit is abnormal 13-motor circuit or position circuit is abnormal 21-speed sensor circuit is abnormal *23-actual vehicle speed has dropped by 16km/h or more below the set speed. 31-control circuit switch is abnormal 32-control circuit switch is abnormal 33-control circuit switch is abnormal
when 2 or more codes are present the lowest code is displayed first.
i can provide more detail for any of the codes if you need them

Code 33 is set when SET/COAST and RES/ACC signals are simultaneously recieved by the cruise control ECU. I would be checking the wiring in the squidge first (ribbon wire behind the steering wheel) to make sure that there is no damaged wires in there first.
