"Can you recommend a Mechanic to work on my Soarer" is often asked. I started a bit of a guide based on searches of the archives. The beginning of a Guide can be viewed here: http://planetsoarer.com/mechanic/
I have grouped the mechanics by State and used the Ebay type rating system. Please let me know what you think of the format etc.
Are there other mechanics to add? I'm sure there were some specific UZZ32 mechanics and blinky dash mechanics for example that I didn't find.
So if you can think of any that need to be added please post them here and I'll add them. Any useful information will be added. I reckon we can grow it into something very useful.
Please post new info or links to old archives that you find that could be useful. I'll go through them and add them to the list. It takes a long time searching and pasting but I reckon it will be worth it.

Peter, I tried the email link on the site but it did not work. I have some comments about some specialists around here and one to add on a Sydney dealer.

Neil Griffiths (NSW) at Rushimports/Queanbeyan Autotech for all Soarer mechanical repairs. The guy is a the guru when it comes to mechanicals and more for these cars.
Mark Paddick (ACT) for most/all Soarer electronic item repairs like EMVs, CD Stackers, Blinky dash, etc. Also for LED upgrades to most Soarer lighting such as boot lights, dash buttons, glovebox, interior light etc.

There's a guy in Medowie (North of Newcastle) his about the only guy up here that I would trust with my soarer. Most of the time I can supply him parts as well.
As for Parts Brad Street Parts at Kotara are pretty easy to deal with sometimes (but Personally found James at Castle Hill Toyota alot easier and quicker with his work).
And Autobarn at Maitland are also good to deal with for the aftermarket parts. For both V8 and 1J soarers (plus a guy off here works for them)

I got this from an earlier try to do the same:
NSW - Body shop: Mark Stewart Smash Repairs, 376 Pittwater Rd North Manly NSW 2100 - 9907-1000 Extremely good buy may be too expensive for some. You get what you pay for.
The guys at Precision Installations in Blakehurst. Did a great job of fitting my deck to the factory amplifiers so that all my speakers and subwoofer are still operatable, a job that a lot of other places didn't want to do. A little on the pricey side but they did a good job, and it's amazing what can be pushed through the stock speakers.
