This post is for Danny Hennrie.
After replacing the fuel tank in the Soarer, the motor will idle, but when revved, motor will die.
Before tank was replaced car was running fine.
Tank was replaced because it had collapsed and broken the fuel level sender.

A couple of things I have mentioned to him:
Change the fuel pump to the original one.
Try fuel ECU bypass. Fp B+
Make sure fuel return is working.

Danny will add some more information to this thread.
I'll ring him in the morning.

I believe there are two different types of fuel senders in Soarers... pov pack TT had a float type and then the more complex unit found in most of the V8s. No idea if the plugs etc are the same and what would happen if you used the 'wrong' type in a car.

Pardon my lack of imagination, but how does a fuel tank collapse?

Any chance the filter is blocked?

mmmmmmmmm I was thinking a blocked tank vent which if memory serves me correctly should go to the carbon canister under the engine bay. Have also seen it with a incorrect fuel cap on a older car but I doubt it on a unleaded car with a screw on cap
