Hi Guys and Gals
Since I bought my beautiful V8 I have noticed when I drive to work in the morning and at night(Which is about a half hour trip) and I stop at traffic lights, there is a misty white smoke coming from the exhaust. When I first saw it I jumped out at the lights and smelt it while getting strange looks from people and it smells like exhaust fumes and steam. Then when I take off it disappears. So I checked my oil level and it's spot on and just to be on the safe side I changed the oil with Penrite Semi-Syn and its still doing it. Is it normal for the car to be doing that for half an hour or so everyday? I heard it could be a valve stem problem. If so, How much is it to get that fixed?

Sounds like condensation only.
Park with the engine running on a still day. Does the cloud tend to vanish or does it just keep drifting away? If you can get it in sunlight, is there any blue in it or just white?
My car started out like that but gradualy the smoke / steam got thicker and developed into quite a problem, not trying to spook you or any thing but theres some good info and ideas in there.

Thanks for that Hayden. I went to my mechanics on the weekend and we flushed the radiator (again) and we also tested the car in cold weather (2 in the morning) then during the day and he can see it is definitely steam that's coming from the exhaust. With the flush as well, the coolant was ruby red with no milky effects and also no milky effect in the oil when I last changed it. Also I recommend you use toyota coolant and for the oil Penrite is Oh So Good! So all is well with my champagne beauty
