I've read up on some of these but can't find how to fix it.
Was driving down from perth listening to my car stereo when it just turns off. pressed the power button-wouldn't turn on. pulled over, and turned the car off then on. still no luck. so i assume it's a blown fuse. When i got home i checked both fuse boxes. none of the fuses were blown. i've had the car now for 4 or so months and this is the first time it has happened.
Anyone know what the problem could be? I checked the fuse diagrams and checked all the appropriate as well as the rest, but all the little wire things connecting them were still intact and no black marks.

maybe your stereo has had it mate get another one and see if that gets you out of trouble you can get some second hand ones of ebay mate that can get you back to listen to music but before you do that get a multi tester and test the plugs to see if there is power running through them before you get another stereo which i mean take out your stereo and test each plug if there is power running through then its your stereo if there is no power then its time to look at a wire diagram dame i hate those lol
I pulled the whole console out, looked at the fuse at the back of the stereo-was fine. Followed the power cord to find a separate 30 amp fuse that had blown. so upgraded it to a 60 amp and all is good!

Nah this is a completely different setup. The original stereo system was replaced. The reason for the separate fuse is because the new system draws so much power. It's not a standard thing to have, as my friend has the EMV and he doesn't have this cable.
But when i find my phone and get my laptop back, i will put a picture up anyway.
