How do you remove the switch/light panel mounted on the roof lining?

Look at the frosted panel closely and you'll notice that there are sections that are flat edged (as if to attach the frosted piece onto the assembly). Take a screwdriver, insert it into the tabbed section and slowly prise it out. Should come off pretty easily (a LOT easier then them bastard electrical connectors).

Yeah, it's got 2 push in clips and 2 tabs.

Just get your finger nail under it and pop it out. Easy as.

Well I got it off. Thanks guys, though didn't know about the 3 screws holding it on. I couldn't work out why it wasn't coming off until I took the light cover off! Cheers.
