My factory green tint has started to peel from the top on the driver's side and I've had to cut it away with a razor blade. I suspect the rubber at top has become sticky and the friction has rubbed the tint off.

How easy is it to replace the window if I get one from a wreckers? Or do tinters offer something similar to the factory tint to redo it? Has anyone else had this problem?

I don't think factory tint can come off... it's actually coloured glass. Make sure you know what colour glass you have, clear/bronze/green.

That's what I thought. Maybe it's been replaced with clear glass and tinted in the past.

It's definitely the green tint and it's definitely come off. I'll check the other windows in the light.

Presumably it's just a case of removing the door trim and loosening the glass through the hole in the panel that's covered with plastic, as when changing the window regulator?
