Hi there. I was just wondering if any of you could identify whether this car here is really a 1998 model. Its supposedly a 1998 V8 model and it is very cheap for age/mileage.
However from looking at pictures on other sites something doesn't look right. I am not a current owner and don't know the various ins and outs of what was changed when. But thought the lights changed later on for a start. I'd be after a 2.5T but wondered if this would be worth a look at the price...

Thanks for confirming Its dodgy then as it's on a 98 registration number. Over here it is against the law to have a plate that makes the car appear newer than it really is (although no problem with putting an older registration on). Won't bother looking at that one then.

All V8 for Japanese market stopped in 1997. But the UZZ30 series was still sold as SC400 in the USA till the end of the 30 Series in 2000. As when it stopped in Japan the updated UZZ30 got vvti and 5 speed auto.
Here is my profile picture showing the three different series Soarers. The white one is series one. The blue one is series two. The green one is series three.
So I hope this helps you work out the differences.
