My UZZ31 gets this Error code only when the temp drops to -10 or below. In this case, it seems to only happen intermittantly. I've monitored it for some time now and sure as anything, when the temp (outside air) warms up, the code doesn't show. From what I've researched from my friends on this site, this code can indicate that the Nitrogen accumulator (TRC)has lost pressure. Yes, during the code condition you can hear the pump grinding over and over as if to pump it back up to the pressure (setting?).
Is it plausible to assume that the gas is shrinking (due to cold) below the pressure that actuates the sensor? FYI I cleaned all connections and put dielectric compound to make sure they were good. I'd sure like some opinions before I run off to get the accumulator recharged?

I suppose the cold is causing the fluid and the N2 to contract leading to a lowing of pressure. If your unit is borderline then it would be enough to bring up the alarm. Re-gassing the accumulator could be the only solution. It shouldn't cost too much but if you don't have it then it's always going to be too much.
