Whilst jacking the rear of the car up to bleed the brakes today, the jack has slipped off the cross-member directly behind the diff, and onto the rear sway bar. My fault for not positioning it properly in the first place. Part of the rear cross-member is now bent and I'm wondering will this affect my wheel alignment? Here's a photo to show the damage:

Should be fine.

I don't like jacking from cross members like that because often they aren't designed to support the weight of the vehicle.

I doubt that the wheel alignment will have been affected, unless there is visual buckling of the cross member somewhere. All I see is a bent lip.
