Got them. All set to go, as long as the bushes show up monday or tuesday. Looking forward to seeing a difference. Then it's the rears, a steering wheel/gear stick/handbrake re-trim for me... I suppose I should look at that annoying tapping noise in the engine. I think shims, toyota thinks fuel injectors. Basically I don't think they want to do the shims. :-(

| Ok, so I got my Bushes today in the post. But there was what looked like a washer floating around in the bottom of the front uppers bag. Figured out what it is though. Do you think I'm good to just see if I can rubber mallet it back on?

| I swapped the busted one over with Andrew (thanks again) and all was well. I just got back from picking my car up from Manta. WOW what a difference! Apprentley my bushes were pretty bad... Like really bad. The steering rack ones had almost fallen apart. But good prevailed in the end. Even though it ended up costing a little more than I thought. When I originally said $450 there was confusion. It actually was supposed to be $750 for the front end, but things got muddled along the phone lines. After some conversation about the confusion we agreed that $650 was more than reasonable (he did do 7 hours worth of work on it) and I was on my merry way. The real test will be up grand junction road tonight on the way home. That road is and has lots of dips and other nasty things. Really test out the bushes. So far I conclude that Vlamos Bushes do in fact rule the bush world and all should bow before there glory!

Ahhh nope. I totally forgot! Damn it. I guess I'll just have to take it back there when I get time. Kinda hoping it can be fixed quickly. It gets very annoying.

Bottom ones have torn and the top ones are actually half screwed as well. I have definitely noticed a decrease in ride quality... I'm about to pull the bottom one off to see how bad the damage is.

Sounds like the arms might have been tightened up without the vehicle weight on the wheels. That causes the bushes to twist when the vehicle is let back down and it eventually tears them. Those vlamos bushes should last a LOT longer than two years. How many km's have you done? Matt.

Exactly what I was thinking. 15,000 - 20,000 in about 2 years... or there about. Not heaps.

I'm waiting to save up for new airbags then I'm going to get a whole set of new bushes done as well. Might go OEM, not sure yet, it's a about 6 months or so away. Might have been faulty bushes, or a bad install. Unfortunately I'll never know I don't think.

Unfortunately I forgot about it, got distracted with a few Supercharger issues that I needed to iron out. It doesn't really matter, after getting so many emails about Manta I highly doubt it was a bad install. I mean come on, he's done them so many times how could he muck it up! Maybe my stuffed airbags are the cause, tire pressures, wheels... Adelaide roads. who knows.

Or maybe they aren't stuffed? Why not give him a call and make a time and find out for sure? You still on holidays?
