Hi all,

My bushes on the arms are all worn out. Decided to replace it. My dilemma now is that should i:,

1.Replace all the arms with original Toyota arms (Rubber Bushes)

2.Replace only the bushes using Vlamos (Not sure if its rubber or Polyurethane)

3.Replace it with Superpro PU Bushes

Really need all your advice.

Thanks and regards

You must have cash then. I would replace the front upper and lower control arms as the ball joints could be shagged. Purchase them new and they have the bushes in them. Then with the rear contact Andrew from VFT. His are rubber, while your at it get the steering bushes too. I would never consider polyurethane crap.

What Justin said.

Exclude option 3 and choose 1 or 2.

I have Vlamos bushes which I know from experience to be excellent. My information about polyurethane being crap is second hand but I respect the experience and knowledge of the sources in this.

Just a newbie about the polyurethane thingy, but isn't it suppose to give a better handling due to its stiffness?

Sure does but the stiffness directly translates into feedback and increased noise and vibration.

I had Nolathane bushes in the front end and replaced them with new lower arms and Vlamos upper arm bushes. Only way to go in my opinion, pricey but quality pays off in the long run.

Matt.

Depends. It's an easy job and the bushes are cheap, so you could do it any time really.
