Hi everyone. I am new to this forum and have obtained considerable information from the information that is available to read and educated myself on this super car-thankyou

I am looking to purchase a Soarer Limited V8 1993 with 88,000Km on clock and I currently have it for the weekend. The most noticeable problem is when the left back wheel hits a man hole cover on the road at say 60kph, the car feels like it wants to bounce sideways but then straightens the up. I didnt know if this was a common fault or potentially being the bushes or the actual strut itself. Can you buy replacement struts and are they expensive. Any help is greatly appreciated.

1st off, welcome to the world of Soarer.

2nd, it doesnt sound if its OK. If you are in Adelaide, there are plenty of blokes that may help you with the issue. Chase up Dave Cazes on here, he works at a suspension place, so maybe able to check it out for you.
Mine has 200,000ks on it, and while it has a few knocks and rattles, it doesnt move around like you are describing.

Guy, I had a similar experience that was caused by a loose and worn rear toe-in bolt. Tightening it lasted a little while, but replacement was the real answer. Simple cheap job, then get it aligned. I had Pedders at Richmond do it for me.

Guy, I am assuming you have a UZZ31 Soarer, I had the same problem (hit a pothole and the car wanted to jump sideways).
I replaced a leaking rear air strut.
The strut had leaked oil causing it's failure.
Check your struts for dirt build up and oil on the strut leg.
