Try ecu reset (disconnect battery for a few mins)

I'm guessing one (or both) of the valve body accumulators is low on gas.

Also, maybe a sticky valve in the valve body.

SUS ecu's are known to cause issues as well, Perry probably has a spare that you could try, or I do if needed.

Thanks Dan, catching up with Perry on Sat and doing his suspension. He said he will bring a SUS ECU. But I will try the reset first.

Are these commonly faulty? How do they interfere with the active suspension? Where can a replacement be found?

I thought mine was faulty but it was just a bad plug connection, I disconnected it, then reconnected it - all ok.

my concern would be electronics don't last forever, there would be lot's of custom chips in that $4k box... trying to make a replacement would be almost imposable without a huge budget, a electronics nerd, a maths nerd and a hydrodynamics nerd (walk into a bar joke here somewhere)

would suck do have a lovely uzz32 with everything working besides the suspension ecu!

They aren't known to give problems, but I guess like everything else they are now 20 years old and well past their design life.

Changing out the electrolytic caps would be a good idea.

I was told by a mechanic that faulty software or ecu could be the cause of the humpy-bumps that occur when stopping. Any ideas?

Do you mean the near violent bounce that can occur?? This is related to the nitrogen accumulator at the bottom of the struts.

Nope, mine is more a wriggle in the rear struts. Not violent at all. Possible occurs during driving, but very difficult to spot then. Mostly happens during stopping.

Rob,

Those little wiggles that it can do when stopped at lights is almost certainly air in your hydraulic fluid. Have you bled the system recently? I'd check it again anyway. I'm speaking from experience as it happens with mine a lot at the moment due to all the sus work I'm attempting to do.
