Lindsay, I ran G4s last week on my TT at a hillclimb at Canberra. 13kg fronts 9kg rears.Car was set low but not silly low, but front tyres (9" rim x 245x45x17) rubbed badly on tight corners (specially drivers side but I am not a small boy !!!!) Adjusted the front up a bit but still rubbed. Was happy with rears (even though I was told 9kg was to heavy) Next climb is 2 weeks away, I will put the 17kg front springs back in the front. 17kg / 9kg is a bit to firm for street (my TT is a track fun car,my V8(airbag) is the driver. For street I think I would go 13kg /7kg. At the hillclimb I ran it hard all round. For street I back it off 10 or so turns, bit more comfort, not much. Was happy with first time out(have not driven for 15 years & then that was ralling (dirt) Came 3rd in class (over 3 litre standard road car) only beaten by Skyline GTS .8 of a second & Turbo series 2 RX7 by.2 of a second .Closest V8 Commodore was over 2 seconds behind me. Not bad for A $6000 ebay Limo.A few people where suprised how quick such a big car is , inculding me.

Hi Bob! Thanks for the feedback!
So what was the cause of the rubbing? Was it just the 245 width of your tyres? or are you saying that the suspension could not handle the weight of the car? or both i guess.. lol
im running 235's on the front of my car, so that would lessen the chance of scrubbing..
So all in all.. for someone like me, who just drives like a grandma around town with the missus... and occasionally likes to have a bit of a fang...
you would suggest 13kg/7kg.. and you would recommend buying.. lol

Hi Lindsay, Yes the rubbing was from high corner loading, Rubbing was at the top of the wheel arch , not on the front guards. Have changed back to 17 kg front spring but have not had chance to drive as doing some brake work at present & waiting for parts. Note with 13kg front spring no rubbing during street driving , only at the hillclimb. Yes I would recommend G4 but be aware that it will give a very firm ride, even 13kg/7kg. It might be I am spoilt by my V8 airbag suspension (always run on firm setting) but I would not like to go on an extended trip with the TT with the G4 set up. G4 is good value for the money but you san buy better , it just gets down to how much money v the application you require the suspension for.
