Gday guys,
Was just doing some work on my car today and want to issue a reminder to everyone to clean under your rubbers and plastics where dirt, dust and grime may build up hold moisture and soon enough rust.
I have attached some pictures of a few examples of what you may expect to find. (added a few random pics of my celsiors)
I also think its a good idea to wax the area after cleaning as these are very mislooked areas that require protection aswell. To clean id recomend using something like mequires paint cleaner, Remembers its these little things we do that will keep our beautiful cars near perfect forever.

After the winter we have had my poor Soarer has developed a mould problem on the boot rubbers. I'll pull them off this weekend and give them a proper clean.

Hey Matthew, If you're not in a hurry to do the job, what I do is take the rubbers off, soak em in a bucket of hot water with some NapiSan overnight, then put em through the washing machine.........They come up lovely & fresh. Then for the freshly dressed look, I soak em in a tray of Meguiars Vinyl & Rubber Protectant for an hour or so, then pull em out, wipe em down with an old towel and install.
Keeps the rubbers moist and factory fresh for mega yonks!

No problem,
Another place to check for rust in Celsiors is in the little wells thats are on the very left and right hand sides of the boot, (with carpet removed they are under plastic covers.) I have found rust in the left hand side well in one of my Celsiors.

Thanks for the comments,
I like my Celi's too, But dare I say it im thinking of swapping my hotted up one for a Turbo Skyline/Soarer.
ew I can't believe you just said skyline. They are so heavy and slow. Soarer is much better. or just get a silvia with a 1JZ conversion ;) Cheap all round hehe
