Hi all, Lately ive been thinking about getting a Celsior/LS400 instead of another soarer. So I found this fantastic White UCF11 with LS400 Badges. Cars in tidy condition, its done 129,000kms and is a 1992 model. Has all the features including the Massaging, electrically reclining and heated rear seat accept the sunroof! The price is Cheap as its in New Zealand - 7300 or 6500 without the larger wheels.

Only problem is they are 1800kg+ so rather sluggish compared to the uzz30 soarer 1530kg... this is the only thing that puts me off a tad and want a soarer instead but ill see how it goes...

Heres some pictures

Well, it would have to be worth buying just for the gearshift cover wouldn't it?

I've been watching that one on Trade Me Mike, and I think its a good un .
If it were me, I'd be telling him to keep the wheels, and save yourself some dough. You can always source wheels later, and for possibly a lot less.

Celsiors actually feel a bit quicker off the mark due to different gearing in the diff, so I wouldn't consider them to be a poor cousin (Performance wise) when compared to a Soarer.

That's my pick of the colours too. There's one down here in New Plymouth that belongs to some old fossil, and it looks VERY nice with Gold Lexus badging.

GO FOR IT!!

Buy it! Any difference in power has escaped me over the course of owning 3 V8 Soarers, 2 Celsiors and several LS400's.

Hmmm.. i asked the guy about the wheels and he said that he doesnt have others but will try to find some. However I may be able to fetch some stock rims off Trade Me for $100 or so to put on the LS400 if i go do buy it.

I might just sit on the fence for a bit with that celsior for sale. They are nice cars inside and out but maybe im buying more than I need... really when will I use the heated and massaging rear seats? Plus I dont take too many passenger around so dont really need four doors.

I think the best option would be to buy another Soarer. Ive also got that feeling the celsiors just lacking something where the soarer wins it all. Believe it could be the more sporty aspect of the soarer compared to the celsior... Not to mention the smooth shape.

You may have noticed i do change my mind quite fast. I tend to have a positive though to buy something like the celsior but by the end of the day i have changed my mind back to looking for a soarer! Arghh it does get annoying sometimes!

Yeah I like both shapes. Every time I see a Celsior or soarer they catch my eye quite a distance away.

Wow thats a nice celsior. Green (or is it black?) looks the best by a mile. If that celsior i was looking at was green id be alot more interested. White ones look ok but i prefer darker colours as they tend make the car look more expensive!

Those black ones are a quite over done. My idea of a nice soarer or celsior is one washed and polished nicely, clean windows. Large 17-18s 5 or six spoke wheels, lowered a bit - around 1.5 inches and a nice set of shinny exhaust tips. I think cars look better more stock. Body kits are a big no no in my opinion.

Has anyone here recorded their celsior a, b or c pack on its 0-100km/h time or even 1/4 miled it?

Would be quite interesting to see what they do even though they are not meant to be super fast 1/4 mile cars...

Wow... That picture makes me want to go see that Celsior tomorrow and buy it. It shows how amazing a white one with those must have clear indicators are! Ill have to organise a viewing time soon. Best part is this car wont be going anywhere as its been listed for months - so i doubt it will sell for a while unless i buy it.
