The harmonic balancer actually was quite easy enough to change, put the extended breaker bar against the battery and cranked the engine once and the nut cracked straight away!

Against the BATTERY! WTF???
Do NOT put the breaker bar against the battery, remove the undercowling from the car and place it against the ground. The torque from the starter could easily crack a battery open and cause acid to leak all over the place. Hell when I did mine the breaker bar lifed the car off the ground and put a small pit in the concrete floor of the garage!
