I have some to go on my car soon as well Chris, buy new brake pads and if you don't want to trim the old backing plates back you can get them new as well, should not be to expensive. Get some steel braided brake lines as well, Lew Radbourne at Marlew Performance can help you with all that you need. He is down at Southport.

Matthew,
When I worked for B n'T in Auckland, we quite often bonded special compounds onto customers backing plates..........it's not as unusual as it sounds, and quite safe

if any one is doing circuit racing or hard road driving i can get varying compounds of performance material bonded to your brake pad backing plates cheaper than you would pay for ebc etc
