| Here's a happy owner of a 2JZ GE Soarer, fantastic car. I just need to replace the faulty headunit/CD player and I'm set.

| Nice and neat Josh. What year is it I'm guessing maybe 94-95? Looks very similar to my 92 Gt-t but mine is a lighter shade of red mica 3K3 being a 92 model. |

| Its Wine Red Mica, so it must be 95 or 96. Only two years it was available. |

| Nice find Joshua. Ive always liked the JZZ31's with the straight six. Great motor, just need a few tweaks to get the power up a touch. Enjoy it! Great colour too. Always loved the red mica on the soarers. |

| If I had a JZZ31, based on my experiences with my UZZ30, I would do a BFI on the intake of the car, which involves cutting a section out of the stock air box, so that you gain maximum airflow and produce a nice induction sound which is very appealing on a 2JZ-GE, especially when the intake valves open right up at peak revs. Theres plenty about them, so just do a search for 'BFI'. Secondly, Id look at having a nice exhaust done, If your prepared to spend the extra for the entire exhaust (1-1.5K) get a performance header (extractor) for the block, usually non turbo 1993+ supra extractors work fine from what Ive read... Following that Id do a 2.25 or 2.5" tube to a high flow cat converter if they are required in your state. Then have it split into a Y pipe to two 2" (or smaller) tubes off to a set of nice stainless oval mufflers. Lukey's or something else with good quality would do fine, then have the stock tips refitted for the 'stealth mode look' This would probably give you a reasonably loud clear note, so a coupe of resonators or a large single one before the Y pipe may be a good idea. Again do a search about it on the forum, but this is just what Id probably do on a JZZ31 if I had one. Hope that helps |

| Heres a picture of the BFI I did on my V8 Soarer, The I6 have the same sort of air box so It gives you an idea of what you can do. I simply used a Jig saw with a plastic blade. https://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/126/107643.html?1165556768
Also hears a picture of how my finished lukey mufflers looked with the stock tips, They could look pretty much the same on a JZZ31 at this end, just have different tube layout to the engine obviously.

| Joshua, you may want to consider making a housing for the rear number plate to you don't have to bend it. I used a piece of 18mm MDF, primed and sprayed matt black. It moved the plate just far enough away from the rear bar to allow it to clear without bending. Others have used aluminium brackets, but the advantage of MDF is that you can cut it the right size and shape to conceal the ugly fittings for the Japanese plates. Lovely colour, great condition but loose the white letters, they only belong on Jeeps .... |
