My PS pump is on its way out (has been for a while) and I'm looking for somewhere that offers reco'd or maybe low mileage second hand replacements.

If anyone has replaced their pump lately I'd really like to know where and how much.

Cheers

I did one on a US years ago. Second hand and it started leaking just outside of warranty- 30 days! Pain in the arse. I'll only go New for things like that.

If you want to stop it leaking, there is a seal kit you can buy, I think it was $80 or so for?

I considered a seal kit but the rebuild tutorial linked to by these forum says that seal kits are only good for pumps that are just leaking.

Mines leaking and whining when ever under significant load plus losing pressure when at said load.

I think its a safe bet that the core is clapped out and all the seals in the world wont help.

Driftmotion.com sells rebuilt pumps for 180 which would make it about $250 by the time it gets to my door.

Besides that, I've spoken to Pedders who can't give a quote because they 'don't deal with imports' but they assured me it would be around $500 plus through the company they use to rebuild them.

No such luck for the 1JZ I'm afraid..

Different pump in the straight six which doesn't enjoy the same level of support from the V8 loving American market.
