Hi Guys,
Not interested in debating the finer points of removing ABS here.
Long story short, my ABS/TRC unit has started leaking 2 days after bleeding and fitting a new Peter Taplin accumulator. It's leaking into the cabin which from what I can tell is not something that is fixed with a master cylinder resleeve. Rather it's not repairable/uneconomical.
I've got my head around the mechanical component of converting to non ABS/TRC however what I am struggling with is solid information regarding the dash errors and mitigating them.
I know removing just the ECU wont work, has anyone gone down this road? If so how did you manage to stop the dash errors presenting themselves?

Hi Mark,
Most certainly leaking into the footwell after the bleed. As said I've seen the parts on Toyodiy and can source them through Amayama however I've seen a few posts here explicitly stating that its not these seals that cause the leak into the cabin.
If it's fixable with a seal kit and a sleeve then I would certainly prefer to go down this path.

It looks like the PM bounced, silly policy about not accepting mails from third parties.

Hi all for those who have abs/trc with accumulator, and suffering with brake into footwell. Many of you may have replaced the master cylinder seals via the kit and still the brake fluid leaks. Well I took my car to graham at Toyotekniks whom is located at southport Gold Coast. He explained that the leak is due to a small seal I think relating to the abs. A few years ago he sent off the old seal to get customised/remanufacted. He still has these seals in stock. So he carried the job on my car and no leaks and works perfect

Sorry Mark,
Been flat out lately with a new job and didnt get the chance to call you, I did exchange some emails from Peter Taplin and in light of our discussions I wont be pursuing a repair of the ABS pump.
Long term reliability and simplification is my goal with this new shell. I think best to be moving away from this kind of stuff will be best for me.
I should have just bought a UZZ30 rather than a UZZ31, I've only had it a few months and feel like I've spent most my time despeccing it anyways.
I'll be doing some testing this weekend, starting with removing all solenoids and fuses, as well as the ECU. From there I'll poke around the W and TR5 pins on the ABS/TRAC harness and see what happens. I'll report back with my results so that if anyone else wants to persue this

Alright, so if you remove the ABS fuses, ABS relays and ABS/TRAC ECU it will not throw any ABS alerts. So electronically speaking the delete is simple.
The TRC Alert comes on no matter what, I cant figure out how to bypass this as of yet, hopefully its just a case of cutting the trigger into the dash as the TRC is going to be managed by my adaptronic from now on
