Hey just sprayed my interior a few weeks back with zimmer.
Its not fully done a bits still to go.
These are my options:
A) Spray everything black! B) Spray the carpet and matts, or just the matts with supra seats and black rear seats.
Tell me which one you think will look better.
(Also not everything is back together yet, that's why my gauges are still hanging. Also new steering wheel is going on and hand break and gear knob is getting retrimmed black)

I reckon you really have to change that carpet to black. Im soooo jelous ! ive been wanting to do this for a while but sadly i dont have the time .
More importantly - why have you not removed your flare and run around at a party naked waving the burning thing above your head ?
ANYWAYS - yeh more info on how you did it would be sweet.
Plus for that pod, naybe just buy yourself some heat resistant foam and just make up a simple wall like i did in my engine bay. I also ran a cold air feed from the front bumper up to my filter.

Well, the way 'I' sprayed it....
We took pretty much all the lower dash panels out, then put a big plastic drop sheet in...(tucked it inbetween the woodgrain and the top dash with a small flat screwdriver). Taped newspaper all over the windscreen....then sprayed. And due to my natural talent....it came out REALLY sexy lookin.
I've done the same thing to my car.....but i'm spraying EVERYTHING black....including all the bottom dash panels...door trims etc.
So far Ive done everything except the drivers door and the centre console and carpet.
I'll put up some photo's when I get my black leather seats.......SMMMMOKIN'

Looks good! Been wanting to do this to mine for a while. What is the name of the spray you used and where did you get it from? Did you use the same stuff on all the parts?

Hi Patrick, thats looking great mate. On a side note, how did you get the centre trim above the climate control off? I will be retrimming shortly and I gotta get it off for the trimmer.

HAHA,
That piece was the HARDEST piece to get off!!
Me and Pat were struggling for a while trying to get that off, and ended up damaging it a little. There are two black hook type things holding it to the centre console, you have to try to turn the peice enough, and pull the centre console toward you.

The stuff i used was VHT vinal dye.
You can get it at autobarn but get the matt finish otherwise there will be glare. Plus if you see a few cans buy them, they are getting rare now. Plus you will need it.
I didn't take the dash off just sealed it up with newspaper and drop sheets. I did take everything else apart though, starting from the bottom and moved my way up.
My best bet is to finish a mate who has a soarer and do it together...Also allow one weekend or only do one car at a time. As Chris and I tried to do two cars in one day, which resulted in my car interior being half put back together.
Any more questions feel free to ask me.
Its simple but just make sure you know how to spray otherwise it will turn out sh1thouse.

That VHT stuff is deadly. I did my interior (carpet, dash and all other panels) in a day. Also tried driving it that day too. Not a good idea i tell you
Anyway Pat, heres a photo of my interior which has a similar result to what you're looking for.
Since that photo i have a woodgrain handbrake cover and woodgrain wheel cover thingy (temporary until i find the perfect woodgrain wheel).
Once i get my seat covers i'll take some more photos.

I have done my car, steering wheel and gear shift included. The finish does not rub off if you prep properly. I just rubbed everything down with isopropanol to get the grease and grime off.
For the steering wheel, I suggest stripping it down to bare leather with acetone and isopropanol, and then spraying it.
