Guys, after painting your interior is it still ok to use polyglaze dash and trim care and the like?? Will it still protect and make everything look great or is there another product people recommend post painting??
thanks.

Good question,

I just painted mine last week and was thinking the same thing. I probably wouldnt get too carried away with rubbing any trim cleaner on it as such, but would probably give it a coat of Armourall (or similar)

yeah, I agree with the rubbing.
Let me know how it goes, planning on doing mine soon, but dont want to reduce myself to crying like a school girl when I destroy my weeks work.....

easy solution... do it properly and get it re-trimmed then paint wont scratch off and fade>.You can put what you want on it then

true, but professional re-trimming would be prohibitively expensive and then I also don't get the enjoyment of having done it myself.

I did my dash a few months ago and have used armourall with no problems just make sure you use a soft cloth.

Amourall is good to use, will actually protect the paint and make it harder to scratch off.

I've never had any problems with the paint on mine scratching off, just lather up the coats, i usually do 3-4 coats, let it sit overnight, then give it another couple the next way.. that way if the top couple of coats scratch off it usually leaves the bottom lot that i let dry.

Works for me anyway, but yeah, armourall is the way to go.

did mine a couple of weeks ago and used armourall wipes and it came up so shiny. It didn't rub very hard but it didn't rub anything off at all. I think if you do it properly and give it a couple weeks to dry it'll be fine.

Yeh i also have now used Armour All and mine came out REALLY glossy !

I did use gloss black also for my dash. Didnt rub to hard so hopefully it will help it the dye stay on better and resist damage/scratches.

Hi all, just a word of warning, make sure your Armour All DOES NOT contain silicone or silicone compounds. I know it makes your dash look all nice and shiny, but unless you have sealed your painted dash, the silicone will eventually leech through the paint and get into the vinyl, drying it out and making it crack.

Had it happen to my old car after using every weekend

Try to use a silicone free protectant, they're not as glossy but will keep your interior in better condition. Things wont be greasy or have dust stick to it either.
