hey guys.
my car only came with one key and after almost loosing it several times i thought it would be a good idea to get a spare. ive had a looksie on ebay and there is nothing there, is there anywhere other than toyota to get spare keys from ? i would hate to think how much they charge for a key.

I'm not sure if you have mister minit in queensland but any locksmith should be able to cut you another key. If the key has locking and unlocking buttons on it they will charge a fair bit to get the code for your keys, if not, it's not too expensive.

I paid about $30 for a key to be cut at my local shopping centre. I've lost my key once, so it was definitely worth it.

Here's a link.

$150-172 for a blank toyota key, and the price on this thing isn't always correct.

If you're just after a basic key as a spare and dont need one with remote access or anything, i got mine done at engraving plus at westfield carindale for about $15-$20 from memory

Loads of them on US eBay. I received two from the US last week to cut spares, which cost $30 at a local locksmith.
