Can anyone that has a stock Soarer rear strut removed from their car, please measure the distance from the bottom of the strut to the top of the strut. I used to have adjustables in my car, and they were removed because the seals had broken.
I put in stock rear struts on the car and this has raised the back up from where it was before. I liked my car at it's previous height. Therefore want to see what the difference is between a stock strut and my old struts and then get springs to match. I just don't want to have to pull out my stock struts just to measure.

well from the centre of the hub to the top of the guard should be 350mm on the rear stock and lowered with 17 inch wheels with 45 profile tyres min was level with the top of the tyre and that was 30mm lowered if that helps

Ben not that urgent so if you are able to do them over the weekend that would be great. Although if anyone else does have one available, I can make some enquiries tomorrow from suspension places. Basically I am looking for the height as marked on the below picture of the stock rear strut
Also is it possible to just have the spring removed from the TEINS strut and placed on the stock strut??

Interestingly enough that I measured my TEINS struts and found the following:
The total distance as per the first picture is 600mm. Therefore a difference of 35mm.
However the spring distance (as per the second picture) is 310mm, basically 2mm difference.
Therefore to have my standard strut made the same height as my TEINS was previously set, I would need to get my car lowered by 30mm I would assume. Would this be right?
Either way I can probably go to a suspension place and take my TEIN struts with me and say I want it at the same height that these when they were on the car.

Or much, much, easier is to measure the height from the hub centre to the wheel arch and decide how much lower you want the arch to be. For example if the measurement is say 350mm and the arch was 30mm lower previously(with your Teins) just get hold of some 30mm lower springs.
If 30mm is the height reduction you are after King springs "LOW" (not "super low"!) are quoted as dropping the car 30mm.

Ben I would like the arch back to where it was when the TEINS were originally on the car. I never measured it when they were on the car (hindsight is a wonderful thing) hence I now have the stock struts on the car and the TEINS in the back yard.

The point I was trying to make is estimate how much lower it was.
You must have some idea where the arch sat in relation to the tyre when the teins were fitted? Photos to help judge it maybe?
Here is a photo of mine. The height from hub centre to arch is 340mm ( a drop of 25mm from my stock height). If yours was similar I think you are on the money with the 30mm figure you have arrived at.
