I may need to replace my front lower control arm bushings. I spoke to the local Lexus dealer they tell me they have no part #'s for the bushings alone just for the whole control arm ($826.00). So to my fellow Canadians what did you do for the bushings? Who is supplying these in Canada or do you have a Toyota part # for the bushings only?

Most of us are very happy to have bought the Vlamos rubber bushes.

Yeah Peter I have that website only problem is getting them to Canada would take some time and alot of money in shipping. Would be much handier to buy locally. Are they easy to replace our do they have to be pressed in?

Philippe, they need to be pressed in, and pressed out. Not really a job for the average home weekend mechanic unless you have access to a decent press and a hoist.

Don you are amazing!! I called my local Lexus dealer here in Canada and low and behold the part number works here and they can get them for me!! Costs here in Canada are: 48654-24040 $64.84 each
48655-24050 $83.10 each
I wonder if these come with the metal sleeve that goes around the bushing as well?

Ok so had 4 brand new tires installed 225/55/16 and since then car has pulled to the right. LCA bushings making no noise whatsoever. Had it in to do an alignment, mechanic said they have no more adjustment on the one side. They cannot stop the pulling to the right. Pulling gets worse when applying brakes. Increased tire pressures help the problem of drifting somewhat. Mechanic tells me likely a bad tire causing radial pull. Whats your thought?

LCA bushes don't have to be noisy to be stuffed.

Try swapping the front/rear wheel on that side and see what happens.

Yeah Peter I am bringing the car back to the place I purchased the tires from they will have a look at them. Funny thing is when I bought the car they had on 4 brand new winter tires somewhat smaller and this issue was not there so thats why I do not think it is the LCA bushings. I will keep you posted.

Ok I did the tire rotation very little difference still pulling hard to the right during acelaration and braking so therefore I guess I will now replace the LCA bushings and steering rack bushings. Hope that works!!
