How much will a 4.09 diff throw out my soarer as it's a manual? What should I expect from going from an original ratio diff to a 4.09?

Correct me, but i thought the manual TT's were a 4.09 (4.083).

Manual and auto diffs are the same in a tt just not the same in a v8 soarer

* A is the gearset family and denotes the ring gear size.
* 01 = 3.916:1 (V8)
* 02 = 4.083:1 (TT Manual/Auto)
* A = Open centre
* B = Torsen centre

I always thought they were 4.11 in the autos...

Learn something new everyday...

Then why do the manuals seem to turn each gear MUCH quicker?? Surely the auto doesn't rob it that much...

yeah i thought they would be different but thats what everyone told me but does anyone why the outside cases are different on a 1991 diff to 1995 diff as they don't have cooling fins like the 19995 anythings else different

TRD 2 way is hardly noticeable. i was surprised. has a little bit more initial understeer at open road speeds, but nothing perturbing. doesn't thud , clunk or chirp like some people would expect.
