I've been looking for a nice set of wheels and came across these nice 19's fitted to a car in the garage at work. A couple of snaps and 5 mins on photoshop later...

They are 19"x8" with +35mm offset.

OR ?

Not trying to be rude, but why do people have to ask opinions of what wheels to put on their cars?

What I like you probably dont, so you make the decision.

The design is up to you.

They do remind me of all the commodores i have to detail everyday.

Go 20's because they only cost about $100 - $200 more, which is nothing when you are paying $1800+ for rims that wont buckle when you go over the first crack in the raod. And the tyres are cheaper than 19's when you need to replace one or 4.

As i said the design is up to you, id prefer jap style "work rims"

Ian - maybe I asked for opinions on the wheels because in the short time I've been here I have begun to value and respect the feedback from other owners & enthusiasts - people who have been around Soarers and owned Soarers a lot longer than I have.

On the other hand, maybe I thought I'd just put out some bait to see if I could find the guy who is "not trying to be rude" but can't help himself... Every forum has a few so thanks for your putting your hand up.

Thanks for the feedback everyone - I agree they are quite Commondore-esque!

Cheers!

Cameron, if you can afford it try go for some Work or Volk Racing wheels -
http://www.rayswheels.co.jp/cgi-bin/cgi2/english/getWheelList.cgi?maker=VOLK

Quality and finish of them are amazing, plenty of people can attest to that :-)

I quite like them, but 19" is too big for a Soarer. Go for 18", Soarers look better with a bit of extra rubber on them, otherwise they start to look like a rollerskate. MAK do a very nice 7 spoke that is quite similar to that, but looks a bit different with the extra two spokes - I used to have a set and loved them. Very high quality alloy too.

Cheers all!

I've settled on 18x8 front and 18x9rear - the car is driven every day so probably a good idea to keep the wheels away from the guards and retain ride quality.

The only thing that will keep the wheels away from the guards is offset and the height of the suspension.

The ride quality difference between 18's and 19's is almost impossible to measure.

I run 18x9 and 18x10 and don't have any clearance or rubbing issues.

They remind me of wheels from an Aston Martin, and think that they look quite good.

personally i would go 17's i got nice chrome deep dish rims that really set the car off with 235's on the front and 265's on the back. i think with such a wide bodied car like the soarer is that deep dish an fat tires are the only way to go. plus the larger the wheel u go the more u sacrifice in ride comfort.
