Hi all, my struts have seen better days and im thinking of upgrading to supra bilstens. I want to know the height that my soarer will be sitting on. Will it be a legal ride hight? Pics of soarers running bilstens will be great thankyou.

Mine is on supra bilstens. I didn't do the conversion so cant tell you too much. PM Daniel Lee if you want to know more. I'll try and measure the height tonight but it is fairly low. I doubt I could drive over a coke can, (as ive heard this is the legal height). Still not all that low compared to most modified cars. I think its a perfect ride height, but also it is a little stiff for long cruises and big potholes or train tracks! you really feel them!
Centre of Wheel to Guard. 'Eyebrow height', useful measure of the height of a car.
The CWG measurements are more dependent on the springs chosen. I had a set of HKS springs on supra bilsteins that were far too low at the front, but got a set of king springs that were perfect.

I had the same experience with King LOW and King STANDARD height JZA80 springs on Supra Bilsteins. The LOWs caused massive scrubbing at the front where the STANDARDs are a good height. You could even run LOWs on the rear and STANDARDs on the front without any problems I reckon.

Soarer low king springs part number is the same as the normal Supra springs *109........eg but putting a low Supra spring will put the CWG at about 335 (whereas the King 109 sits at about 355mm)

Narvey, where are you looking at getting the new suspension fitted/ bought from in SA? I am in a similar situation where I would like to go to supra blisteins/ coilovers from air suspension.

Does anyone want my rebuilt Teins that you can set to any height you want and then adjust the dampers too? You can have them for $1000 (cheap) Cheers John

Ok so I installed some 2nd hand Bilsteins from a Supra last weekensd.
Measurements- CWG rear- 360 Front left- 350 Front Right- 360
Does anyone know why there is a difference in the front?
I'm thinking saging springs?
Also, I really want a bit more height in the front (I have a steep griveway to my garage) and I don't think any off the shelf options will work. A few options include

If you buy the height adjusters that fit the Bilsteins that should do it but mine are pretty close to the top adjustment to get the height for my driveway. I want to lower my rear but with the Bilstein height adjusters springs, the ones recommended by Drew)are too short to take up the slack, so I have to set them high to stop any rattle. I am interested how you decide in the end.
