NEVER take short cuts with suspension! a mate had a rear link fail due to old age and a life off 400+rwkw... he was on cruise control on a strait bit of road when the left rear toe control link failed allowing the left rear to kick out sending the car spinning several times across 3 lanes of traffic into a crash barrier...
so that was a link with no sign of external damage at all! do you really want to drive around with a home straitened link on your car?

Yep, looks like jacks stands, jack lift or hoist lift on the arms, which would cause both to deform almost the same time. No damage to the mufflers or rear, so 4wd bottom out would not be likely.
I've seen kinks in these factory arms from severe axle tramp, but not bent like in the pics.
