so i was doing alittle work today and took my front wheel off. when i was done i put the wheel back on pinched the wheel nut tight as well as the lock nut. then i went for a quick spin around the block and when i got home i realised i left the lock nut key thing still in the lock nut when i went out. needless to say it is now MIA. i have walked around the same route i took when i went for a drive 3 times and havent had any luck finding it. how am i going to be able to get these lock nuts off now with the key nut? any one got any ideas? people should probably pm me with an answer because i guess its not a good thing to post something like that up for every little low life out there thats looking to do some shonkyness.
any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Use a deep impact socket slightly smaller than the lock nut, smash it with a hammer over the top of it.

Cheap sockets will just split/snap.

Anyone who's out looking to steal wheels will know all the tricks already. Either do what Mat suggested or if you dont have a socket the right size just weld any nut onto the end and take it off that way. You can also drive somewhere that changes wheels as they usually have keys for all the common types as people forget to bring their lock nut keys all the time.
