I will be picking it up this week WITHOUT THE WHEELS. The agreed price is without any wheels so therefore I must bring my own.
I am currenly a ford owner, and i have a set of standard 5 stud wheels that i can take with me, but i am unsure if they will fit.
The other option is ofcoarse to buy a set...
but this is where it gets interesting...
The car needs a respray and hence the negotiated price. Because it is already dark green i will be spraying it a dark colour as to make the engine bay easier (ie it wont be painted) so perhaps a black with a light pearl or something alike...
I dont like the 20 inch size rims, i think the 18s will do the job but i am unsure of offsets and colour at the moment...
So if anyone has any idea if the falcon weels would fit, or perhaps good suggestions for wheels to match a potentially black soarer...
any tips or comments or feedback would be apprecaited..
also... i dont know much about this motor, but it looks like a 1jz vvti single turbo.. (according to his add)
again any comments or tips or advice would be apprecaited..
the car needs the ac repaired, door trims repaired, fuel gage repaired, dash repaired and WHEELS!!

Pretty sure the falcon wheels will fit, pcd 114.3, but you will need the correct hub spacer for the soarer hub 60.1mm to the falcon wheels, 73mm I think from memory

Ok Thanks.
i dont really wana spend money on getting the falcon weels to fit because they are just chasers, so i would only be using them to get the car to the workshop.
if they dont fit then i am thinkin i may aswell purchase the set of wheels that will end up on the car.

I saw that Soarer on car sales the other day. Pity your not taking the rims, they look pretty good (bit over the top, but good). He has swapped the motor with a 1JZ VVTI out of a 97ish Soarer. With a manual too this should go pretty hard. The VVTI engines are a gun. You should be pretty happy with this one.

Thanks for the feedback Drew, im still learning my soarer limbo, but i was told the 2jz motors where bullet proof, do the 1jz's have a record like there big brother?
I am gonna be speaking to him about the rims, we shall see what happens on that detail, but at this time the deal is without the rims.
i drove this car, it does move. just needs some tlc and i have had a look on this site. its gona be my new home page for a year atleast i think!!

John, be aware that your Ford nuts won't fit the Soarer studs. I found out the hard way, when I bought an extra set of Lexus wheels, in the hope I could use them on my trailer, which has Ford-type hubs. I couldn't even get new nuts to fit the Lexus (same as I use on the Soarer) wheels. I'm now thinking of changing the trailer hubs (they're quite cheap, and it's easier than changing all the studs).

Oh, and I looked at your car- you were right to negotiate the wheels off. To my eye, thy're hideous Pity the owner didn't pay more attention to his headlights than mucking around with aftermarket wheels- they look like they need a lot of polishing.

Mike where abouts in western sydney are you? i am close to blacktown, are you near by at all?
John, I'm in western NSW, not western Sydney Cobar, to be precise. About 9 hrs drive west of Sydney. I do have family around Blacktown, including a mechanic nephew, but that's not much help to you. Pity, as I have a spare set of wheels and lots of nuts (for wheels). Not that there's much tread on the spares, in fact one pair were so bad I had the tyres taken off, so bare rims.}

That is a pitty, it would have been handy.
Where abouts is your nephews workshop?
Thanks for the pic peter, makes life a 100 times easier.
Just a question for anyone who may know, if you look at the car im looking at buying, it has 2 gages and a trd controller of some nature mounted next to the drivers site, the guy selling the car is selling it on behalf of his mate. and he cant even tell me what taht controller is for...
