So my rear passenger side is sagging about an inch lower than the drivers side.

I've tried the adjustable rod, to see if that was set incorrectly, but it made little or no difference after winding it many times.

It's not like it deflates, it's just permanently 1 inch lower. So looking for any help or guidance in the right direction. I suppose I could just jam in the height controller I have and adjust it that way, but I'd prefer to fix the issue before doing that

Ashley, you can't adjust the left right lean at the rear. They both go up and down together. I'm not 100% sure if it takes an average reading of both rear sensors for the height, or if it uses a min/max arrangement.

The front sensors and airbags are independent of each other and that is how the left/right lean is adjusted.

So to adjust the back left being lower, you need to drop the front right. If that was needed I'd suspect you'd see issues at the front as well, like the front right sitting high....

That being said, adjustments might not fix the issue. It could be a bad reading from a sensor or a sticky valve or something that lets some of the air out the back left.

Hope someone has more info for you on that.

Thanks Michael! Makes sense! Would explain why both of them went up when I adjusted the rear several times and my frustration of it not levelling!

Front drivers side could be sitting high actually... I know they usually sit slightly higher to compensate for the drivers weight so I didn't think much of it. But she's on a fair old lean because the back is down

Right, back to the drawing board. I'll check for error codes and clean the solenoids things one the weekend.

If the front right is sitting high, then maybe one of the front height sensors is playing up. I just replaced mine because my front right would often sit a lot higher than the left. So far everything is great. I replaced both sensors just in case it was the left reading low, rather than the right reading high.

Do you have a pic or location of these sensors? Are they at the top or bottom of the bag?

No, I don't have a pic handy. It is the sensor which you adjust the height on. Have a look under the tutorials section.

Disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the suspension computer, had to do it to mine a couple of times over the last year or so.

Peter... assume I should do that on a level surface, my driveway isn't exactly level where I park the car. But I'll do that for sure!

Michael, I assume the sensor is connected to the rod, I have a stack of spares from the old wreck that should have been damaged in the crash.

Thanks for the input guys, you really are helping!

Yep, the rod is part of it. Goes up behind the wheel lining someplace.

If you have spares, change over both fronts, that should at least eliminate them as a possible cause. The sensors can fail. Get it all nice and level, then get a wheel alignment.

Ahh I think I know what you mean now. I recall seeing what I thought was a sealed sensor on the rear one. Rod is attached to it an there is a wire or two going into it.

Well let's hope the sensors are ok. Both front bags popped in the crash but other than that the suspension was relatively unscathed. I salvaged my sway bars and they are fine :-)

Ugh. These cars have so many parts!

Sort of!

I reset the air suspension computer on a dead flat surface and it seem to have helped a lot, but there is still a slight drop that I notice.

I am Going to have another tinker with it on the weekend and re-adjust the rear rods that I was messing around with just so everything is the same.

Turns out that the rear drivers airbag must have been on it's way out. Got home from work tonight and low an behold... flat as a tack.

So I start the car to see how slow the leak is... apparently not that slow. Can't even pump up an inch. Just a HISS coming from underneath it.

So I jam my hand in there and it feel like it's coming out of the bottom of the strut somewhere... so it's probably not a loose airline or anything.

Shame, I took her for a nice drive on the free way yesterday and it was all good. Must have split today when it was just sitting there.
