Depends what ride you want. Standard shocks just new will make a difference. Or coilovers. The bc brand I have are fairly ok for city driving I like my suspension firm hence why im selling mine. There 14 8 I feel they are firmer than standard but not to harsh. Sporty driving there good. If you do a search there's a detailed comparement Beteween suspensions somewhere on here.

Thanks Guys. I was looking through the lower threads and just wasn't sure about them, A lot of the talk referenced the JZ version of the car, is it the same suspension set-up?
Edit: Don't worry I have answered my own question through the ancient art of research....

Just get some new KYB shocks. I did to my old UZZ30, and made a huge difference to the ride. You may have to do suspension bushes as well if it "rooted"
If you want a factory Smooth Soarer Ride, go Factory Struts and Springs, I've never found any Aftermarket Springs to be same as factory they are all 20% Stiffer at least, Go factory struts too.
If you don't want to make it handle more sporty go a set of BC Coilovers instead of just strut and spring combo that way you can adjust it as you like, Best Value for Money. The good thing about BC's is you can get custom spring rates if you ask for it and they can go softer than what other coilovers offer.
I'd reckon a good thing is to get a $14/$15 Safety/Suspension check at Pedders that way you can find out which ball joints and bushes are worn, and you would be surprised the difference it makes. My Last Soarer had lots of wear in different areas once I fixed it all with new parts handling and steering improved a lot.

ummmm Boris, have you ever use Koni shocks? they are WAYYYY better than Toyota OEM, BC is chinese crap for the drifter wanabe's and you can order any spring rate you want for any other shock:
combined with a set of koni shocks, coil over kit and new seats (all available cheap from summit!) they will outlast the rest of the car, be fully adjustable and out handle any chinese coil over.
as for suggesting someone go to pedders, well thats just plain mean!!!
