Hi guys. I'm in the process of rebuilding the hydraulic struts and have a couple of questions. What have you used for the bump stop? It looks like felt with a nylon insert. Has anybody done the rubber boots for these? Has anybody replaced the glide ring on the shock rebound piston? Thanks in advance.
If you contact Peter Taplin he was selling a modified one from another type of car. I bought some off him and they look pretty good. Were said to be resistant to the hydraulic fluid, but I cannot confirm this as I have not yet had to fit my overhauled struts. Not sure what you mean by the shock rebound piston? Are you talking about the accumulator piston at the bottom of the strut.

Yeah I have been looking at other car strut boots on eBay. Just got to see if they know sizes of what they sell. The piston I am taking about is the top one that has the valving as a shock would have, it has a very thin Teflon type glide ring, going to see if my seal guy can do it, if not it will have to go back in.
