I've got a problem...
When I changed the plugs we hit that heater control thing on the firewall and I've just found out that the tube htat comes off the brass thing and goes back in via a plastic sleeve thing has broken off. (Will put a picture up later)
Anyways for those who know what I'm talking about is this able to be glued back together???

Yeah, we know that........what's ya point!
Sorry couldn't resist
The doohickey what ewe's is reffering to is called a VSV, get a 2nd.hand one off a Camry for a few bucks, or buy a new Snoarer one for a lotta bucks.
Suggest do a search, using VSV as the critera, and ALL will be revealed. Considering how cheap the Camry replacement is, I don't think I'd bother about trying to glue your one back together again. BUT post up a pic, and I/we will give ya's an opinion.

LoL thanks Bloke
Anyways That top pipe that goes from the acuator to the VSV Valve, well the little pipe connection on the VSV valve is what has broken off and is still in the pipe. Easy to remove with a gimlet but yeah as to the re-connecting I'm going to try this afternoon. At least then if it doesn't work I can say I tried that.

Hi guys heating my car doesn't work. When i turn the temp up to max it blows the air from the outside. It doesn't heat it up. Could this be a VSV valve issue or ...?

Its your monitor Mark. I used Photoshop to make it a bit more appealing. The car is proper size . Thanks for your help guys. I'll bypass it and i'll let you know. Just one question. If i bypass it and it works fine, do i still need to get a new VSV valve or can i just leave it bypassed?

Only if ya wanna sweat ya butt off in Summer!.
The Camry ones aren't that expensive NEW, let alone 2nd. hand, or source a used Soarer one, or check out www.castlehilltoyota.com who are one of the few Toyota dealers who LOVE Imports, plus they ship worldwide

Thanks for the advice above as it made the diagnosis of my heating problem very quick and easy. I have purchased the Camry VSV valve from Toyota and wanted to know how to wire up the new one as the connections are different?

Always the way. I can not find anything about the different electrical connection of the Camry VSV in the archives. The Soarers VSV looks like it is permanently connected at the valve but the Camry valve has male socket, no wiring. Anyone connected this up before?

Which Camry models/years use a similar VSV? Does the Camry VSV mounting only differ from the Soarer factory item? Do you have to buy a new Camry wiring plug? I have searched the old Soarer Central threads but we no longer have access to the ALSC threads.
Neil, can you please post a photo of the aftermarket VSV valve you are selling, so I can see if it's not going to be too obvious and out of place on the firewall?
