Pressure plate is in the mailing postal system now Neil. Installed the clutch last week. I was a bit worried because it was so on/off at first. But about 150km later it's pretty good. A bit of grinding on low rev takeoff but i think it should go away after break in - very grippy but also very peak hour traffic friendly. The clutch pedal isn't hard at all (a bit softer than the old one suprisingly) and a lot more feel coming through. I haven't driven it hard yet - still breaking in the clutch.

HAHAHHAHAHA Excellant Main thing that is breaking in is your LEG ( It's looking for the * sweet spot * on the clutch )

Grinding will always be there Chris, As Neil said you just gotta find the sweet spot. (Let the clutch out abit quicker and it wont grind)

I guess I'll get used to it then :-) Reverse parking into tight spots is usually when I make mine grind. At the moment, I'm giving it some revs, clutch out a bit and back in, and then repeat. But moving forwards I don't seem to have so much of that grind/shudder issue - wierd. Maybe my left foot is less coordinated when reversing! yeah I think there is this small "spot" just before the grinding where the car still moves with some revs but doesn't grind - and then i sort of pop off the clutch and it's perfect. I'll have to concentrate on that whilst reversing (and also not hitting my car into other things)

Yep thats exactley the same thing i encountered chris. I have the same Clutch as Neil so would be the same clutch as you (i think). It took me a while to get Reverse with out the grinding (especially when you reverse up a slight incline, or even taking of on a hill start for example Westfields car parking ramps) My car still shudders abit when i reverse. Thats after about 8 months driving with the clutch. Once you get the sweet spot it will be more fun to drive.

Its a Brass Button clutch, All brass button clutches do that. But this one is very very nice to drive once you find the sweet spot. Less then a week of driving you should know where it is.
