Great Article Greg Cheers! But whats the go with that 190KW figure? i thought UCF11's only had about 125KW? so whats the go??

Heavier UCF11 with massage seats and all the fruit feels like 125kw when you drive it

Ryan, i think the 125kw figure is approx. at the wheels on a chassis dyno.
The 190 is flywheel kw's.

ahhhh...... so when all these car companies (HSV/FPV) quote a 300KW power figure that is actually flywheel power not at the wheels! see you guys teach a young fella like me everything THANKS :-)

Yeah, you won't find a manufacturer who quotes power at the wheels.

Its always at the fly, and always obtained from an engine dyno.

That reminds me, does anyone actually know a place where you can get a dyno at the engine, as I am on the verge of buying a UCF11, and would like to know if the engine is still good

I understand that there are different methods of testing the engine to find out if its in any good nick, but i think a dyno would be good too

Why dyno at the flywheel? You want to pull the engine out and find a test rig capable of running it? I am sure the seller will be keen on that.

You know that a 1UZ of that vintage should put out around 125rwkw so doing it at the wheels will give you a perfectly good comparison, FWIW.
