This is one of my favourite shows, and just thought others might be interested in this LS400 episode...

Edd China is a fantastic mechanic, and this show highlights some great tips for diagnosing suspension problems.

I rather enjoyed that when I watched it a while back. Came up fairly good after they sorted it out.

It's annoying how youtube is constantly taking these sorts of shows down because of silly copyright issues. I remember when nearly all of these wheeler dealer episodes were taken off the site!

Nice to see it's up again.

I love how Edd starts out being quite negative about it (because he likes small, querky cars that he can't fit into properly), but it wins him over by the end. Of course Mike just loves everything. I can't understand why he gets so many negative comments, he's a great presenter and such a happy fella! Sure Edd does all the work but it would still be a less interesting show without Mike.

I assume that since Edd now has a seemingly full time helper, the show is doing quite well even after 5 seasons, so hopefully we will see more of them.

Its annoying how they have a 10 minute limit too, stupid Youtube.

Its playing on Discovery on Sunday afternoons around lunch time at the moment (NZST)

Yeah, deep down I rather love the old Celsiors, just nice machines.

I'd really like the idea of one as a daily driver in the new year so I dont have to use my Soarer all the time.

Can get some nice deals on them these days!

I'd happily own one if they weren't so damn thirsty.

LOL you own a 1jz and you call a 1uz thristy?

The 1uz just purs along effortlessly, where if the 1jz isnt under boost its a dead as a door knob. I own both and I can tell you tha tI pump twice as much fuel into the soarer just cruising around. And giving it a thrashing, it just sucks it down 3times quicker then the 1uz.

On the highway is probably the only time I would see the 1jz getting better fuel. But in saying that its not as relaxing as the heavy soarers dont hold speed to well at the sight of any incline and you have to keep changing your foot position to maintain road speed. And we all know cruise control makes fuel economy even worse.

Yeah, one down side but quite faultless other than that. I didn't find mine too bad however, that was coming from a V8 soarer though.

David, he has a 3.0GT NA :-)

anothing thing on Celsiors drinking 2 much fuel, Id say that drink more, but by no means "so dam thristy" its a 1uz, its a girls v8 only a 4litre what an insult to real v8's. (unless its got a turbo or 2)

Drive a dirty carby bigblock for a few months and your opinion of thirsty will change.

Well at my age and with a little boy to think about now, the JZZ31 is plenty quick enough for me. I look after it well so its still doing 0-100 in a shade over 8 seconds, and thats plenty enough for the road.

David, I owned a UZZ30 for 3 years, it was fine on the open road at aroudn 9.5 per 100, but stop-start motoring in the city would see that figure sink very quickly - totally agree, very acceptable for a 4 litre V8, but still a lot thirstier than my 3 litre.

I think thats pretty much why the JZZ31 replaced the UZZ30.

Plus its cheaper to maintain with two less cylinders, less complicated (only a day needed to change the timing belt compared to a whole weekend on the UZZ30) and being a more common engine parts are generally easier to come by and cheaper. Just makes more sense for me - don't get me wrong though if I had more money and could get hold of a late model one, I'd jump at owning a UZZ3x again.

A friend of mine just put me onto Wheeler Dealers and i'm hooked, currently working my way through all the episodes. Check out some of the other cars they tidy up,
MX5, AW11 MR2, 944, 911, Ferrari Dino, Louts Esprit etc.
The appeal of this show is that it's actually somewhat educational, giving me the confidence to tackle larger jobs I wouldn't have considered in the past. Lots of other car shows have slowly evolved into glorified advertisements, whereas Wheeler Dealers actually make an effort to avoid mentioning brands.
Also, they are fans of the OEM look, any aftermarket parts they use are subtle rather than guady.
