Looks like their are'nt many options and the ones available are very expensive, ss headers from the US http://www.ssheaders.com/muscle.htm are $600USD, labour is approximately 8 hours to fit, I want to get my exhaust system done and was hoping to get those restrictive headers replaced but it looks like its just too expensive, would you the rest of you agree?

Please excuse my devastating ignorance in this case but, if it is a 1UZFE then why do Neil's headers not fit? Sorry to ask the stupid question.
If the USA headers are your only option, do a bit of calculation on expected gain from those compared with the rest of the exhaust alone, or fitting a Unichip. You can work this into a dollars per kilowatt figure and decide where you should spend money first (capital permitting).

http://soarercentral.com/sc-forum/messages/441/14152.html?1126396974 Apparently they wont fit, Its starting to look unviable, Its just that when I get the exhaust done I would have preffered to get the whole exhaust replaced rather than just a cat back, I'm planning to get the chip, exhaust and modify the airbox.

OK, thanks.
You will still get very good gains from the other changes you propose. I guess the problem is that, if you are going to do the headers, you should do them now because you will otherwise have to spend more on the rest of the exhaust when you do headers later. They do seem expensive for the expected gain, though. Depends how much grunt you are ultimately after -- every last bit, or just a big improvement.
I wonder if they HAVE to be ceramic coated?? because if not then it would be $210amercian cheaper. Would there not be one exhaust shop in aus or workshop that could do a full system? For cheaper... I want a full damn system...

Actually they dont have to be ceremic coated! They cost $400 without it, thats $536 AUD, then you'd have to factor in shipping, I suppose it might not be too bad, I'm pretty sure the american soarers cant fit the rush headers to their cars for some reason, the reverse might be true, I'll have to find out if they would fit my celsior because they are designed for american LS400's, their is a very good thread on them here in club lexus. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=180708
