Man I'm about to lose my s.hit, changed the pump over 2 weeks ago, now the issues are:
- When cold in the morning the pump squeals like a pig, however after a bit of driving it stops. Parking the car (dry steering) it also starts to squeal.
- Fluid doesn't leak from the pump to the steering rack - Fluid is at the correct level
My guess is change the power steering fluid over to something synthetic. But I'm thinking there is air getting in from somewhere; this doesn't make any sense when all the hoses have been changed over and new clamps.
At the moment I'm thinking of rebuilding the old pump given that it was leaking but not making any sounds. Should this be the path I should take?

Cheers Miles, I'm thinking just to put my mind at ease is to reco the pump and get a reco reck. Do you have a rough idea as to how much a reco rack should be, or should i chance it and get one from the bone yard?
