Hey just wanting some infomation about the heater in my 1990 celsior, when its set to 18* its nice fresh air but when i turn it up to 18.5* its HOT and have to always turn it of, the air con also doesnt work very well, thinking maybe it could be a thermoste problem in the heater maybe?

Toyota auto climate control is a beautiful thing when it works well, but a bitch of a thing when it dies.
There are many parts of the system that need to be working in order for the system to work properly.
There is the main control unit, a temp sensor (I believe its on the dash) another temp sensor at the front of the car, usually another temp sensor near the middle of the cabin (under the centre console), and of course the heater tap/valve.
In order to properly diagnose the system you really need the Toyota manual which has a step by step checklist, explaining how to test every sensor.

Plus a solar sensor, thermistor in the internal heater radiator, electric heater resistor, blower motor + transistor, and at least two servo controlled flaps. The common fault as we know with the Soarer (and SC430) is the internal temperature sensor fails/gets unplugged.
