Hey guys just seeing if we get enough info together we could make a table or reference area for part numbers aprox pricing and compatible parts. And throw in local wreakers and contact details?
I've found that most of the times Toyota/lexus and auto shops don't stock our parts but have manage to use parts from a lexus gs, land cruiser etc. Might be helpful to others.
Good Idea, been a while since we had a useful thread here. Only thing is you cannot edit your original post after 720 Hours, so maybe an Admin can enable you to keep on editing that post to add more info into the table.
So Richard you can add columns such as :
Part, Shop/Location, Cost, Shipping (if from USA for example), Total Price, Link to website or contact number, Notes (to add important info) etc. Not sure how you're going to have the table formatted but keen to see how you go about it.
Let's begin the table.
I'll start.
1jz-gte Seals (JZZ30)
Castle Hill Toyota :
Valve Cover Gasket 11213-88400 - $32.31 each Camshaft Seal 90311-38041 - $14.58 each Front Engine Oil Seal - $25.26 Rear Engine Oil Seal - $72.85.
1jz Timing Belt From :
Auto One and Repco (dayco/Bosch) - $50.
1jz-gte/2jz-gte (Interchangable) Water pump :
GMB Brand - CNS Auto Parts (USA) - $53 USD + 39 USD Post

What I can try and do I make it into a data base on exel and submit it to the admin people it'll take a while so what I hope to do is speak to someone who works in Toyota parts.
If anyone has a good friend/mate works in toyota parts I'm sure they could put a data base of parts on to a USB.

would need constant update but if you are after parts go to www.toyodiy.com you can find any part for it there then quote the number to a toyota dealer.
Yeah but point of this is to get a list of different sources for parts, I take it you guys wouldn't be keen quoting the part number for a new climate control unit.... $3000.
Well Richard you could just use a free web host and make a table on there and just link to it.

Sweet I'll start geting some of the info down from that website. Make like a PDF parts guide or an online reference.
I'm sure this will be useful to all of us at some stage seeing parts are getting harder to source so hopefully with this we're able to help each other out with parts that are similar.
