Hi All
Summer has almost arrived so I am slowly getting through a few of the problems that have cropped up with the old girl over the colder months.
I done the throttle & A/D cable adjustment over the weekend and what a difference, if you have not done this one its recommended that you do its a 15 minute job and well worth it. Had so much slack in both I could wrap the cable twice round the screwdriver!
A few problems which have cropped up are firstly the auto headlamp switch off. When I switch off the ignition and open the door the lights go off when in the 'Auto' position on the stick but stay on when on the 'sidelight' or 'mainbeam' position. I have had a look in the search and will try the suggested.
My main reason for this post is to see if anyone has had a problem with the window switch like I have at the minute.
1. The windows do not work when I push the buttons but instead both the buttons operate the 'shake/bake' mirrors?
2. When I go to the car and open the drivers door the 'shake/bake' mirror runs constantly until I close the door and they stop? This happens when the car is also running but only on the drivers door.
3. When I get out of the car and with the door open and push the window switches it turns off the interior light and the door lamps until I release the button and they come back on?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all

Possibilities are 1) Broken/damaged cables in the door causing shorts across unrelated circuts.
2) Someone has been randomly cutting and rewiring things.
3) Logic board fault.
