Hey guys,

You guys have been great on this forum, so I wanted to show you pix & info of my new car.

specs:
1991 GZ20 JDM TOYOTA Soarer TT Limited
117km's Auto and completely stock

I pick up the car this weekend from the shop. I just put in a new water pump, timing belt, seals, changed everything to Mobil 1 systhetic, you know the little things you do when you buy a used car. I already have a whole mess of parts for it that are left over from my other projects.

heres what I'm doing next week:

Blitz SBC spec R ( JDM limited edition silver with blue)
Blitz dd turbo timer
apexi AFC NEO
HKS filter
Blitz STS (supension tuner for the TEMS system)
spark plugs
MSD wires
NRG FPR
NRG catch can
NRG Grounding kit
Walbro 255 fuel pump

Thats all i can think of off the top of my head. I going to do all this then it'll be at SR motorcars for a dyno run and tune.

what do yo guys think I'll make horse power wise?

That car looks every bit like my old beast and yeah it looks tops

ok if you have money to spend id suggest getting an aftermarket ecu instead of the apexi air/fuel controller the stock air flow meter is not the very best in terms of air flow but its still one of the biggest in stock form

get the aftermarket ecu and a bigger single turbo and a proper exhaust and bigger cooler and you will make more horsepower than your current planned mods

if you dont have the cash

get the safc
run a proper air filetr not the hks mushroom one as they dont filetr well
get rid of the stock intercooler and piping and get a bigger cooler and bigger piping
get the exhaust done in 2.5 or 3 inch which ever u want
then playaround with a safe/decent level of boost and you shoudl have some good power (id say around 150-160 kw )
dont be suprised as thats how much other people with the same car have got its a bit low but thats the fact lol

hey Steve, Thanks but I'm not going out to buy any of this stuff it's all stuff i have just laying around. (yeah i know I have way to much stuff)

As for power my plans are just to do the exhaust and intercooler for better flow. other than that I want to keep the twins and try to keep everything in mostly stock form.
i will do the wheels and suspension and i might do the 5 spd conversion but thats about it. I have my RB powered S14 car for power, so this one is just more VIP and because it's a VERY} rare car here I kinda want to just make it a nice show peice. Nothing too crazy just tastefully done. I plan on keeping this car for a while so i'm thinking of it as just a really big "Hotwheel". you know something to talk about show off once in a while.
I already have a coupe of magazines that want to do an article on it so we are going to document the whole process of what we are going to do. I have Dyno tuning already set up next week where we do stock and upgraded form.
But first thing is first when I pick up the car tomorrow I'm going to detail the out of it and then take some nice pics this weekend. I'll post those later too. Thanks again!

Quick questions though, just to verify if I want to buy strut tower bars for the front and rear I can use the M70 supra ones right? just checking since the everything else is the same, i mostly asking this for the rear.

One more question:
I do want to know about the ECU upgrades for it though. I was going to do some more research but sonce I have this post already, i heard that you can use a lexus AFM on the 7MGTE, can this be done with the 1g? and if so do you have a link or more info?
Also what do you guys recomend for ECU's?

IM NOT SURE about the strut bars but since they share the same chassis i assume they might fit

the airflow meter from the 7m will not fit the 1g as they are two different types of air flow meters altogeter

and yeah the exhaust and piping will def make it flow better
but dont expect a loud exhaust note from the 1g engine they are very very quiet even with canons fitted on them lolll actually the sound more like a skyline

Well i'll try to find a cheap e-bay strut set to try out first to see if they fit. Hopefully it does.

As far as the 1G AFM do you guys have any recomendations for upgrades?

And as far as the sound goes the quiter the better, There are way to many Cops that would love to impound this car. And not to mention that i love the sound of a nicely modded skyline!

My friends and I were talking the other night and we realized that we must live in the most strict place in the world when it comes to cars and modifying them. WTF! we still have a big smog problem from all the damn big rigs in one little place. Almost all the shippments from Asia past right through the port in long beach and it just gets packed with trucks all through out the freeways in LA. Forget what they tell you on since there are so many cars...blah,blah, here the trucks are the real problem. that and Bush, Fu*k Bush!!

afm cannot be swapped for any other ones as far as i know

only other option is to go aftermarket ecu then you get rid of the afm altogether

Hey guys,

I got a few more questions for ya! Also just saying wassup again!! I haven't seen any recent post so I thought that I would liven it up again!

Also I would like to mention now before I ask my questions, yes I did Search but I could not find a definite answer.

My first question is I have an old Blitz STS controller that I won from Yahoo. jp recently and I bid on it just on impulse buy. I didn't think I would win it but I did and now I'm not even sure if I needed it. Heres the link to my auction:

My question is I have a T.E.M.S system in my car already with the little buttons to control it so do I even need this? And what dose it do exactly? Also dose anyone have any guides on how to use it? It did not come with any paper work. I tried goggling it and searched for about 2 hours last night when I got it so I thought that I would give you guys a try.

My Second question is I just won a bid on yahoo.jp last weekend for a HKS F-CON. I really don't have any experience with F-CONs and I was wondering if I could get your opinions on it. Is there anything else I should get to go with it (i.e.: GCC, FCD, SLP?) Here is the link for that auction:
