If it were up to me i'd do it in a flash. But then again i love JZ engines and the Aristo's are amazing currently owning one i think they're amazing. best thing to do go to a import dealer take one for a spin. Now if that don't convince you to buy one or trade it then

Thanks Mite, is there anything special I should check before I commit. I know the wife is concerned about going from a '97 with low k's to a '93 with more k's. I am not sure if this includes rego, considering what I want for mine and his price, maybe theres something I could do there. Can you tell me (without to much bias) what they are like to drive??

I'm not up on Audi's so I will leave the price of that to you, it's your car, I'm sure you know what it's worth.
Things to look for on the aristo are, leaking steering rack (common and happened to mine) Cracked top tank in the radiator (also happened to mine) it cracked near the cap. Blinky needles on the instrument cluster (common problem, also happened on mine) can be expensive and the other thing that happened on mine is the clear coat going all on the bonnet and a little on the boot (mine is also silver).
Having said all that, mine is also a 1993 model, it is an old car, it wont be perfect. I would personally look for a cash adjustment your way. But swapping is easier then going through all the bullshit of selling.
edit : Car is very nice to drive, mine is actually my wifes daily driver, it is too smooth for me to drive every day I would have no points in a week. I have not had a second look from police, I'm sure they just think "camry"

Thanks Justin for the information. I have been reading this forum and did notice the steering rack and speedo problems. The fact that it doesnt have any rego is another reason I will be asking for cash.

Just for reference sake, mine cost me $15500 all up, including $1600 service fee, $200 detail, $4700 compliance, 12 months queensland rego $600ish., shipping and all the other nonsense.
So as you can see I paid on the high side for everything.
I have a 1993, silver, sunroof, 64k, cloth interior. 17 inch wheels, 235 front 255 rear, not certain on the actual width of the wheels.

the leaking steering rack, the radiator and the speedo are pretty the only things you have to look out for otherwise theres not much that they have wrong with them... when i bought mine it was a grade 5 import so it was pretty much immaculate. Only thing if u decide to get it change all your fluids because people who comply them use rubbish apart from that they are simply an amazing vehicle to drive
