Thanks to all for your replys.

I contacted a few shops that do the injection moulding, but they said its not a fix for stuffed ball joints, just ones with a little play. I stopped into STZ on the way home from work (night shift - yuck!) and they had some celsior arms in perfect nick (just minus the boots) just sitting there. Grabbed them ($80 each) nicked over to repco and bought some boots and high temp grease and threw them on this morning!

You have got no idea how rooted the old ones were. I can move the ball at least 5-10mm in each direction, theres no grease left and the balls are rusted out. And to think, the boots looked in good nick as well!

Anyway, i'll see if i can track down a rebuilder for the old ones, as eventually these celsior ones will fail, so i'll have a backup pair.

I'll also be chasing the bottom ball joints in the near future. As they are readily available from the UK for about £80 each.

Hi all,

Replaced both front lower ball joints in January. Part numbers as per Brad's post above - $123 ex from Castle Hill Toyota (had to come from Japan). Replaced upper right arm with a very good unit from a front cut (Hondwreck - Clayton 3169).

Steering and noise now as new, and I thought it was all fair value.

Called Castle hill today. The cheapest they can do is $140 each plus GST and postage. Price must have gone up since January :-(

Bruce at Raws has got some, but Ive gotta wait on a call back to see if they've lost them in the move they did yesterday. Should be interesting, lol.

I'm getting this vibration as well, especially over 90km/hr.... got wheel alignment and balanced multiple times.... put a new set of rims on with ball locators so they fit tight, also got them aligned and balanced multiple times but still vibrating at speeds over 90km/h.

Also noticed the car tends to steer left too..

any ideas guys?girls?
